Keratoconus Patient Education

Treatment Options Overview

Traditionally, patients with Keratoconus had a few options to treat this disease, either with Rigid Gas permeable contact lenses or corneal transplant.

The good news is there are now new treatments options available, such as Intacs® and Corneal Collagen Crosslinking*, giving patients better visual outcomes.

Intacs® are small support segments that stabilize an irregular cornea, allowing for improved vision and easier contact lens fitting.

There are now new options available for the treatment of Keratoconus.

Corneal Collagen Crosslinking is a procedure that strengthens a keratoconic cornea, reducing the progressive changes found with Keratoconus patients.

At nJoy Vision, we’re intent on leading the industry in education and treatment options to successfully manage this vision threatening condition.

*Corneal Collagen Crosslinking is frequently performed worldwide, but is not FDA approved in the United States. There are several clinical trials underway in the U.S.
