Joel Sturm, O.D.
Dr. Sturm is a graduate of Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry. Dr. Sturm serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry. Dr. Sturm is the Past President and an active member of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians. Dr. Sturm is an active candidate for Board Certification and currently serves as legislative key person for both the American Optometry Association and Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians
Dr. Sturm served as Vice President of Network Development for the TLC Vision, largest refractive surgery provider in North America, managing a sales force of over 40 representatives, strategic communications for referring doctor customers and developing robust lead generation and follow-up systems to increase patient acquisition. Prior to joining TLC, she served as the Director of Clinical Affairs for Triad Medical Center – an ophthalmic, multi-specialty co-management center.
In 2001 Dr. Sturm received the honor as Young Optometrist of the Year from the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians. In 2011, she was inducted into the Oklahoma Pioneers in Optometry Hall of Fame. She is also a member of the Executive Women’s Forum.
Dan Langley, D.O.
Dr. Dan Langley graduated Cum Laude from Washington State University. He graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery and completed his four year residency in ophthalmology training in Tulsa. Dr. Langley is a previous Assistant Professor of Surgery and Clinical Director for the Department of Ophthalmology for the OSU Medical Center.
Dr. Langley is a refractive and cataract surgeon who specializes in diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. He is a Board Certified Fellow in Opthalmology and one of the few surgeons in Oklahoma certified to use Visian implantable contact lenses (ICL) and INTACS corneal implants. Dr. Langley was recently chosen to participate in an FDA study for the new Refocus scleral implant procedure to treat presbyopia. He also performs cosmetic procedures such as brow and eye-lid lifts, Botox and Juvederm.
In recognition for his humanitarian medical mission work in Peru, where he performed hundreds of procedures for the Catholic community, Dr. Langley was awarded the Compassionate Doctor Award in 2011 and 2012. He was recently listed as One of the Top 40 Professionals Under 40 by Oklahoma Magazine and Tulsa Business Journal.
Anthony Economou, D.O.
Dr. Anthony Economou earned his doctorate in Optometry from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry and his doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Oklahoma State University as well as his residency training in Ophthalmology. He received his fellowship training in glaucoma from Albany Medical College. Dr. Economou is an adjunct professor and ophthalmology resident trainer at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Economou has a long, specialized education and professional history. He concentrates his professional efforts in the area of medical and surgical glaucoma. Dr. Economou also specializes in the performance of refractive procedures, with an emphasis on Laser Vision Surgery. He is board certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is Board Certified in ophthalmology by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology. He also focuses on preventative health practices.
Dr. Economou currently practices as part of the Ophthalmology Consultants of Tulsa. He has served the Tulsa community professionally for 15 years. When performing laser surgeries, he benefits from the experience of understanding the procedure on a personal level as he is a lasik patient himself. He not only understands the professional surgical perspective on these types of surgeries, but is also able to see from the patient’s point of view as well.
